The Unknown...

We are in some ways in the land of the unknown right now! Nate continues to work in California and we are anxiously waiting to see where we will be in the future! It is hard to be patient.
We had a very busy summer. We made another trip to Utah in August. We attended Nate's brother Isaac's wedding, hung out with family and friends, ate lots of yummy food, did a little swimming and horseback riding, target shooting, Nate and Jackson and Sammi spent a day at Fishlake with Grandpa Wride. Jackson worked on the farm with Grandpa and the kids played with cousins most days. Sammi took a header on her cousins scooter and we made a trip to the Urgent Care...nothing broken. I just wanted to do this little update...I will write more in detail later and post pictures!

Conclusion of Life's Changes...

Previously I wrote about life's changes. Sometimes we have time to get ready for the change and other times we are socked in the gut by change! Read my previous two posts and then read this conclusion...

As our family was driving to Utah to attend my Grandmother's funeral we received a phone call from Nate's dad. His youngest sister Beth, the baby of the family, had been at a swimming hole along the Snake River called Henry's Fork with her fiance Lance Jensen and there had been a terrible accident and he drowned. That news was a sock to the gut that I don't think anyone can explain...Nathan went to Preston the next day to support Beth and his family.

We met Lance once. He stayed at our house over Easter, with Nate's family. We did not spend a lot of time with him but enough to know he was a good young man with a bright future and he would love and take care of Beth.

After attending his funeral, the day after my Grandmother's, I realized what an accomplished young man he was. I know he had finished the things God needed him to do here on earth and God needed him more with Him.

I can't even imagine how totally devastating this is for Beth...but I do know she is a strong, beautiful, young women and our Heavenly Father will be there to see her through this time in her life and always.

I have posted their engagement photo along with this post.

If you read this Beth...Nate and I love you and pray for you. Our kids adore you and ask about you and how you are doing. Hang in there....rely on our Savior!
